WHO SHOULD ENROLL

The course is suitable for IOGS/CFI Level 2 certificate holders. You can enroll in the course if you wish to empower your knowledge and understanding of passive fireproofing and/or upgrade your current qualification to a Level 3 Fireproofing Inspector qualification.

We have switched from our traditional classroom-based course to a virtual course led by an instructor, this is to make it easier for anyone who does not have time to travel from one place to another to attend our traditional courses held in the classroom at a specific location. Our virtual courses have now eliminated the constraints such as geographical location and time (travel, etc.).

LEARNING OUTCOME

By the end of the course,  participants will be able to:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the use of passive fire protection.

  • Check and ensure the PFP thickness used for each steel section based on Hp/A.

  • Know the concept of using intumescent/cementitious fireproofing systems or thin/thick film fireproofing systems.

  • Perform the slump and mixing ratio tests

  • Carry out inspection and QA/QC tasks independently.

  • Inspect and evaluate the condition of the steel before and after surface preparation.

  • Visually inspect the fireproofed steel and perform appropriate testing to ensure compliance.
