COURSE DETAILS
CORROSION CONTROL BY PROTECTIVE COATING
Course and Exam Fee: USD249/-
Corrosion is known as the enemy of the items or products made of metal as it deteriorates the metal to a point where it is no more useful. Corrosion can harm the people as well as the environment. The global annual cost of corrosion is about $2.5 trillion. There are various methods used to protect the metal from corrosion, one of them is the application of the protective coating on the metal surface. The coating acts as a barrier between the metal and its environment or sacrifices itself to protect the metal from corrosion.
The corrosion control by protective coating (CCP) online course is designed to enhance the proficiency of the professionals working for the coating industry.
The course teaches you the concept of corrosion protection by the use of protective coating or painting. This specific course requires you to study through the IOGS Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS can be accessed from anywhere, at any time, and place using an internet-enabled device (i.e. computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone).

Access to the LMS is given for 30 days, and within 30 days of the course enrollment, you take a web-based online exam, which, if cleared, makes you eligible to achieving the IOGS/CPC Qualification.

The Institute for Oil and Gas Sector is also referred to as IOGS. Individuals wishing to start or develop their careers in the oil and gas or petroleum industry can take advantage of IOGS's different oil and gas training and certification courses. To find out more about IOGS, please visit its website's About Us page at https://www.iogs.org/about-iogs.
The Institute for Oil and Gas Sector (IOGS) provides a variety of training and certification courses in the oil and gas or petroleum industry's quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) work field. You can either study the IOGS's QA/QC courses online or attend a classroom training session. Play the videos below to learn how you can study with IOGS either way.
If you are a newcomer or have recently completed your schooling or graduated with a goal of working in the QA/QC work field, IOGS recommends that you take the Project Quality Professional (PQP) course, which educates you about the concept of quality management and acts as a foundation towards building career in the QA/QC work field.
The course also covers various internationally recognized training and certification courses in the QA/QC work field to help you get started as a Quality controller, quality inspector, quality engineer, quality technician, quality supervisor, etc.
There are no prerequisites for studying Project Quality Professional (PQP) and Level 2 QA/QC courses; however, a Level 2 qualification is required for attending Level 3 QA/QC courses.
The course fee for each QA/QC online course offered by IOGS is $475/-.
The Project Quality Professional, or PQP, is an ONLINE course offered by the Institute for Oil & Gas Sector that educates you about the concept of "quality" as well as the processes and methods used for achieving quality within a project or business. The course also covers the various work fields in the oil and gas industries, as well as the internationally recognized training and certification courses that anyone should take to start a career in project quality management as a quality inspector, quality controller, quality technician, quality supervisor, or quality manager.
The QA/QC insulation inspector course educates you about thermal insulation inspection and quality control/assurance. Thermal insulation is one of the popular work fields in the oil and gas industries.
Thermal insulation is used to insulate pipes, vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and other equipment to keep the fluid (liquid or gas) temperature maintained.
Thermal insulation is used in all work sectors in the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream. A medium-sized oil refinery, for example, contains 465 miles of insulated piping and 1.8 million square feet of insulated equipment.
For more details about thermal insulation please watch this video or click this link: https://www.iogs.org/insulation
Steel is one of the components majorly utilized to construct the oil and gas industry's upstream, midstream, and downstream work sectors. Apart from its many advantages, one of the main drawbacks of steel is that it corrodes, and the protective coating, also known as painting, is used to prevent the steel from corrosion or rusting, which if not prevented can lead to failure of the components like pipes, equipment, exchanger, etc.
The QA/QC coating inspector course educates you, especially on how protective coating work is carried out in the oil and gas industry, and develops your skills in coating inspection and quality control/assurance.
For more details about the protective coating you can play the video below or click this link https://www.iogs.org/protective-coating
The QA/QC fireproofing inspector course educates you about passive fireproofing inspection and quality control/assurance, allowing you to gain and develop fireproofing inspection and QA/QC skills and begin your career as a Quality Controller, Quality Technician, or Quality Inspector in the oil and gas or petroleum industry.
The oil and gas industry relies on steel for constructing offshore platforms, pipelines, refineries, etc. Steel has the disadvantage of collapsing or melting at certain temperatures. In order to overcome this drawback, the industry uses passive fireproofing techniques. Passive fireproofing is applied over the exterior surfaces of the structural steel, pipe racks, equipment, and so on to enable them to withstand the fire for a certain period of time without collapsing or melting.
For more details about the fireproofing you can play the video below or click this link https://www.iogs.org/passive-fire-protection
Please enroll in the course by clicking this link https://www.iogs.org/enroll-a-course and following the guidelines in the video below.
