COURSE OVERVIEW
Coating Inspector Level 2
Coatings are known as the first line of defense against corrosion. Coating inspectors inspect and monitor the coating processes from the preparation of the substrate to be coated, through environmental condition monitoring to the coating thickness evaluation, and others to ensure the specified requirements are met.

The coating inspector level 2 online course will make you educated on each aspect of the coating and the inspection, the course is designed to learn from anywhere and at any time and place through the IOGS Learning Management System (LMS).

For your convenience, the relevant course materials, interactive quizzes, videos, and the like, are all accessible online via the LMS by using a web browser of an internet-enabled device like a computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

Access to the LMS is granted for 1 full year; however, you can complete the course in 30 days if you study for 1 to 2 hours per day. After completing your study, you will take a web-based exam that, if cleared, will qualify you for Coating Inspector IOGS/CCI Level 2 Certification.

Painting or more correctly Protective Coatings are an excellent means of defense against corrosion.
All over the world, petrochemicals, oil refineries, or power plants encounter huge problems with severe corrosion; which includes the high cost of maintenance to maximize keeping corrosion under control.
Corrosion being the gradual decline and loss of material (usually metal) and its core properties is generally the effect resulting from chemical, electrochemical, and various other reactions of the material surface due to exposer to the surrounding environment.
With the use of distinct methods, coatings can be applied to a substrate. These methods include; spray, brush or roller, plating, wrapping, and so on. Layers act in such a way that it stands as the barrier between the electrolyte (moisture or water) and the substrate. This barrier helps prevent the substrate from corroding.​
